According to the annual ranking on tourism competitiveness published by the World Economic Forum, Uruguay ranks 61 and is eighth in Latin America.

The report, focusing on "balance economic development and environmental sustainability," puts Switzerland at the top of the world.
Behind Switzerland, are Austria, Germany and Australia.
The country ranks first in the world is Suiza.En Latin America is the best placed Costa Rica, which is ranked number 44. Uruguay (61) is in the eighth position, behind Puerto Rico (46), Brazil (49), Panama (50), Chile (51), Mexico (55) and Argentina (58).

The index takes into account 14 factors and policies that make it attractive and competitive development of the tourism industry in a country.

Among them are rules and regulations, environmental sustainability, security, health and hygiene, air and road infrastructure, tourism, prices, human capital or cultural resources.

The event will take place on 13 April starting at
11:00 pm on
" the Rural del Prado", with the
Presence of a official certifying world record.


The venture aims among other expectations, to
beat the Guinness Record obtained by Mexico
with " Largest Meat roasted in the world."

The award won by the Mexicans in 2006, involved
the firing of 8,000 pounds of roast beef, grilled and 1,290 meters with a participation of 200 volunteers.

The meat will be made by INAC, and the grills will be selected through organisations and companies that work with the event.el evento.
